Nearly 40 Lusher graduates returned to school this week to share their college knowledge and experiences with current juniors and seniors. The group spoke on topics ranging from what they do when they are struggling in a course to how much spending money they use in a typical week. Many advised their peers to attend office hours and utilize the services offered by the high school Learning Resource Center.
Following their discussions with students, the grads were treated to a lunch in the library with teachers, staff and administrators. During a talk with Ms. Riedlinger, they reported on the ways that their time here prepared them for life post-Lusher. Many of the grads missed the photo op on the front steps because they were whisked away by teachers to spend even more time talking to students in other classrooms.
The enthusiasm of these graduates is infectious. There were many representatives from the most recent graduating classes, but there even were graduates from the Classes of 2010 and 2011 among the visitors.
To maintain the important relationships with our talented graduates, Lusher is stepping up its efforts toward creating a strong alumni database. If you know of an alum who would like to stay connected with our community, please have him/her email firstname.lastname@example.org.
