In an incredible 11-inning game with Easton, the 17-5 varsity baseball team won the District 11-4A Championship last night (Thursday, 4/23/21) with a bases-loaded walk-off single from senior pitcher and 1st basemen Jack Groh.

Guichet led off the bottom of the 11th with a walk. He advanced to second on a bunt With runners on first and second, dangerous hitter Eddie Cerrone, the Lions’ catcher, was walked intentionally, loading the bases for a force out at all four bases.
However, Groh, who was the game’s starting pitcher, then singled to start the celebration.
The score had been tied 4-4 since the top of the seventh, when Easton scored three runs to avert what was appearing to be a certain loss.
