Lusher High School Summer Arts Intensives (Rising* 9th Graders – College Freshmen)

This year’s Lusher Summer Arts programs are unlike anything we’ve ever done before!  We are offering three different programs depending on student age and interest including, for the first time, a camp for elementary-age students.

The Lusher High School Arts Intensives are rigorous, one-week arts experiences for rising 8th graders – college freshmen who are interested in or already enrolled in a high school conservatory program (such as Lusher’s CA).  Students will work closely with one or more of our high school Certificate of Artistry faculty in a highly-focused course of study.  Come work with students and teachers who share your interests and passion for your art form!

Lusher’s Summer Arts and Innovation Camp (Rising 2nd – 8th Graders)

This year’s Lusher Summer Arts programs are unlike anything we’ve ever done before!  Our arts and academics faculties have collaborated to build unique programs that will continue the amazing culture of Lusher into the month of June.  We are offering three different programs depending on student age and interest including, for the first time, an elementary camp.  As they build, perform, create, design, and code their way through an adventurous two weeks, our young artist-innovators will be immersed in the student-centered culture, values and practices that make Lusher the incredible place it is.

ELEMENTARY ARTS SPARK! (Rising* 2nd Graders – 5th Graders)

Learn to think like an Innovator!  Learn how to use a digital camera and create your own movie! Write your own comic, track down and chase a monster using your science skills, learn how to sing songs from your favorite movies, and so much more!  These are just some of the exciting subjects that Elementary students will have the chance to sign up for.  In this two-week session our younger students will participate in a developmentally appropriate, carefully-designed learning experience that will make use of innovative teaching strategies such as Design Thinking and Project Based Learning. Classes will be offered in specific art forms as well as interdisciplinary subjects.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ARTS AND INNOVATION (Rising* 6th Graders – 8th Graders)

Design and build your own Fictional Universe (complete with a brand-new language)!  Create art using coding!  Design the decoration scheme for your own funky furniture!  Learn how to create stories using marionettes and build your own! These are just some of the fun classes that will be offered in this two-week camp designed specifically for rising 6th – 8th graders.  Students will have the opportunity to delve deep into concepts and ideas unique compelling for middle schoolers. The experience will prepare young artists and explorers for pre-professional conservatory and design-oriented high school programs.
