Last Friday night, the Lions varsity football team closed out their regular season with a 44-0 Homecoming shutout of the Haynes Yellow Jackets. Lusher hopes to carry that momentum into the playoffs this week. The Lions will travel to Baton Rouge Friday night to face off against Parkview Baptist. Kickoff is at 7PM.

Lusher’s 2017 Homecoming is here! Friday night, Lusher will host the Haynes Yellow Jackets at Brees Family Field (kickoff is at 7pm). The gates to the game will open at 6 PM. The Senior Night presentation will begin around 6:10 and the Homecoming Court will be presented during halftime. The Homecoming dance will be held between 8pm and 11pm Saturday night at Southport Hall (200 Monticello Avenue).

The Lions varsity football team will host the St. James Wildcats this Friday, 10/27. The game will kick off at Brees Family Field at 7PM.
The Lions are at home again this week, hosting the De La Salle Cavaliers. Kickoff is at 7PM tonight at the Brees Family Field.
The Lusher Lions are now 3-1 on the season after an exciting 33-26 win over the White Castle Bulldogs last Thursday night (full boxscore of Lions @ Bulldogs here). Running backs Ari Broussard and Miles Stewart scored a touchdown each, and QB Arnold Little connected with WR Josh Stiger for a 32-yard score. Broussard, who also plays defense, added another touchdown with an interception and 55 yard return (it was one of 4 interceptions by the Defense, including 2 by Sterling McKeithan and 1 by Kai Davis).
Next up for Lusher is a major test against the undefeated Newman Greenies. The game will be played on Newman’s campus, Thursday night (9/28) at 7PM. We hope you make the game, but if you can’t, use the link above to follow along with the live webcast.
Lusher Lions football improved to 2-1 on the season Friday night (9/15)by defeating the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars 37-7. Lusher was led by Freshman QB Arnold Little, in his first start. Sophomore running back Miles Stewart led the scoring with 3 touchdowns, while Senior Ari Broussard added a touchdown run and an interception of his own. The Lions next face off against the White Castle Bulldogs in White Castle, LA. Kickoff is 7PM Thursday night (9/21)

Stewart finished the scoring with a 65-yard touchdown run. The sophomore running back finished with seven carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also a catch for 16 yards and a touchdown.
Little finished 11-of-22 for 152 yards and two touchdowns and an interception.
After Lusher’s loss to McMain last week, the 1-1 Lions look to rebound this Friday when they host the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars. Lusher’s varsity football team kicked off the 2017 regular season last Friday night when they hosted Bonnabel at the Brees Family Field. The Lions shut out the Bruins 19-0, led by an incredible display by senior running back/linebacker Ari Broussard. Ari’s been nominated for Nola.com’s “South Shore Player of the Week” for his 3 touchdown performance. VOTE FOR HIM HERE!
This week, Lusher will travel to City Park’s Pan American Stadium to play the McMain Mustangs. Game starts Thursday at 7PM.

Playing both sides of the football in a 19-0 win against Bonnabel, the senior running back/linebacker scored all three of Lusher’s touchdowns with 15 carries for 104 yards and two scores and two catches for 50 yards and another score. He also had four tackles on defense.
