    Lusher Wins First Playoff Game, De La Salle Next (11/18)

    Lusher won its first ever playoff game last week with a 34-21 victory over St. Louis Catholic! You can watch game highlights here. The Lions have had an incredible final half of the season, winning 5 of their last 6 games. QB Eli Poche (247 yds, 4 TDs) and WR Cornell Holmes, Jr. (120 yds, 2 TDs) continued their dominant seasons. Poche is currently ranked 2nd in the state in TDs and 4th in the state in passing yards (he’s leading the district in both stats). Holmes, Jr. is ranked 4th in receiving yards and 5th in receiving TDs (he’s also leading the district in both stats).

    This Friday, the Lions face the 12-0 De la Salle Cavaliers. The game kicks off at 7PM at Joe Yenni Stadium in Metairie. If you can’t travel with the team, be sure to follow the action live below.

The Lions, who have won 3 of their last 4, look to enter the playoffs with a 5-5 record when they finish the regular season against the Clark Bulldogs tonight (11/3) at 7PM. The game will be played at Pan Am Stadium in City Park.

    After last week’s 55-0 shutout of Kipp Renaissance, Lusher’s varsity football team has now won 3 straight ballgames by a combined 103 points. The Lions have clawed their way back to 4-4 after starting the season 1-4, but they have a tough task ahead of them this week. The team is travelling to play district-leader Lutcher High (7-1) at 7PM Friday night. You can follow the action live in the Webcast.

    Lusher’s varsity football team is on a roll. They’ve won their last 2 ballgames by a combined 48 points and look to continue the streak this Friday night (10/21) against Kipp Renaissance. This is Lusher’s Homecoming game, and kickoff will be at 7PM on the Freret Campus’ Brees Family Field. Join us at Brees Family Field to help propel the Lions into the playoffs!
